Team Members | Joseph Shindoll, Manual Therapist
Manual Therapist

Joseph Shindoll

Joseph helps patients experience pain relief, especially from concussions, whiplash, spinal and cranial surgeries, dental procedures, TMJ, and headaches.

Joseph helps patients get out of pain! Since 1992, Joseph has used cranial and visceral therapies to help people heal and experience relief from concussions, whiplash, spinal and cranial surgeries, dental procedures, TMJ, and headaches.

Joseph graduated from The New York College of Health Professionals, East West Bodywork and Massage program in 1992. He studied many osteopathic-based approaches to manual therapy. He leverages his knowledge of mechanical approaches like strain counterstrain, muscle energy, and the Lauren Berry Method, and tissue-specific approaches like myofascial release and neural tissue tension, to customize his treatment plans.

Today, he employs cranial and visceral therapies to provide greater holistic care. Cranial therapies allow providers like Joseph to serve a greater range of people, and visceral manipulation addresses a three-dimensional body. The crux of a person’s pain is frequently found within the body’s cavities and contents. Releasing the tension of post-surgical scars and the subsequent effects often amazes Joseph’s patients — and frankly, it still amazes him! Joseph feels great responsibility and gratitude for his ability to balance pressures and tensions skewed by falls, whiplash, and athletic contact.
